Friends from around the world are discussing issues, sharing information, announcing events, meeting F/friends and adding a new facet to our spiritual quests by participating in QUAKER-L, an electronic interactive discussion group devoted to Quakerism and issues of interest to Friends, and QUAKER-P, a group specifically for discussion of Peace and Social Justice issues. About 350 people now participate, including Friends from the different branches of Quakerism and others who are interested in Quaker concerns. All are welcome! Quaker-L is a moderated list. Each note from a subscriber that is sent to this list first goes to the administrative group. The administrator on duty reads each note and posts it to the list as long as it falls within our guidelines--as is the case with the vast majority of notes. The very few notes that are not respectful of others, that offer ad hominem attacks, advertise or solicit funds, are spams, are unrelated to our list or infringe on copyrights etc. will not be posted and the sender will be notified. To post a message to all the list members, send email to quaker-l@quakerlists.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Quaker-L
Subscribe to Quaker-L by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
